This illustrates that with the abdication of Castro it is time for a new policy in Cuba.
A policy of engagement where Cubans are exposed to Americans and American ideas.

Cuba is no longer a threat to us. We should end economic sanctions and travel restrictions on Cuba. If we do this freedom will soon follow. The Cuban people hunger for it and the more they are exposed to it the more they will want it. As the old guard dies off the hold of communism will become weaker and weaker.

Maintaining the current state of constant tension with Cuba just gives our enemies one more platform to attack us from. The time is right for a new Cuban Policy.
